Activation Manager, Corporate Partnerships

About the role

The Activation Manager is responsible for the successful and timely implementation of contractual elements covering all sports and entertainment. The role manages the execution of sponsorships, game-day activations, special events and recapping partnerships, calculates the overall value of partnerships and reports results. It is based in Detroit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned Corporate Partnership accounts day to day and support sales managers, including spreadsheets and client contact.
• Track costs and expenses per account and build and maintain budgets for special events.
• Handle client ticket, parking and merchandise requests, including payment and shipping/delivery, and process invoices, check requests and purchase orders.
• Manage hospitality activation and the relationship with SportService, communicating and processing orders and managing billing.
• Plan and run on-site and off-site hospitality, activations and promotions for sports and entertainment events.
• Act as point of contact for activations around sports and entertainment venues, coordinate with OEI Parking Service, Operations and Promotions, and meet and greet corporate partners at pre-event activities, suite hospitality, party suites and picnics.
• Assist with in-game promotions such as Mascot Race, T-Shirt Launch and asset photography.
• Produce sales proposals, marketing summaries and proof of performance reports, including photography and data collection.
• Use demographic and media valuation tools as requested, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• High integrity and ethical standards, ability to handle multiple projects, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Superior customer service focus and excellent written and oral communication.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, with exposure to high noise levels.
