Copywriter, Product Marketing

About the role

We are looking for a Copywriter focused on Product Marketing to own copy across landing pages, lifecycle emails, ads, feature launches, onboarding flows, and in‑product messaging. This performance‑driven role reports to the Creative Director of Product Marketing and directly shapes how users discover, understand, and adopt Runway’s products.

Key responsibilities

• Write landing page, ad, and performance‑marketing copy that drives acquisition and conversion.
• Own in‑product copy including onboarding flows, feature announcements, tooltips, modals, upgrade prompts, and CTAs.
• Craft lifecycle and product emails for launches, re‑engagement, onboarding sequences, and feature adoption.
• Develop narratives for launch videos and short‑form product films, writing scripts and refining drafts.
• Partner with product marketing on positioning, messaging frameworks, and go‑to‑market copy for new releases.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to shape the in‑product writing experience.
• Write and iterate A/B test variants across landing pages, emails, and ads.
• Translate complex technical product capabilities into clear, compelling language for diverse audiences.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in product copywriting, growth marketing, or a related writing role at a tech or SaaS company.
• Portfolio demonstrating performance‑marketing, product copy, and in‑product writing.
• Strong instinct for conversion‑oriented writing with focus on clarity, action, and outcomes.
• Experience writing in‑product copy (onboarding, feature education, UX microcopy) alongside marketing copy.
• Comfort working with data, interpreting test results, funnel metrics, and engagement data.
• Ability to partner with product, design, and growth teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Capacity to context‑switch across multiple launches and workstreams without losing quality.
• Experience in AI, creative tools, or developer‑adjacent products is a strong plus.
