Concrete Pave Machine Operator

About the role

Granite Construction is seeking a motivated Concrete Pave Machine Operator to join its construction crews. The successful candidate will operate paving equipment to lay and finish concrete or asphalt surfaces, receiving on‑the‑job training to develop expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Operate concrete and asphalt pavers safely and efficiently.
• Control related equipment such as rollers and screeds as required.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned machinery.
• Report any equipment defects or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Follow engineering drawings and project specifications to achieve proper slopes and distances.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work in dusty, noisy construction environments.
• Physical capability to stoop, bend, crouch, lift up to 50 lb and frequently handle objects up to 25 lb.
• Good vision (with correction if needed) and hearing.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow written instructions.
