VDC Designer / Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

Superior is seeking a highly motivated VDC Designer/Coordinator to join its fast‑paced, fully remote team. You will work on innovative projects across data centers, higher education, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial sectors, delivering accurate BIM models and installation drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling and field installation.
• Produce field installation and prefabrication drawings, including panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Project Operations teams to resolve submittal discrepancies.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practices.
• Support development of department BIM/Layout standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination and technical committee meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician or electrical engineer.
• Experience with power distribution systems ranging from 120 V/480 V up to 15 kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS systems, raceways, and transformers.
• Proven ability to review electrical design drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals.
• Background in healthcare, data centers, industrial, or higher‑education facilities.
