Community Manager - The Stories

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager – The Stories to oversee day‑to‑day operations of an assigned multifamily property in Rockville. The role combines property management responsibilities with resident engagement to achieve financial and occupancy goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the property budget by reviewing financial statements, market data and operational reports.
• Set rent rates, collect payments, process bank deposits and prepare monthly financial status reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts and coordinate with accounting.
• Manage the lease enforcement process, including application approvals, lease renewals, inspections, evictions and collection of fees.
• Monitor market trends and implement short‑ and long‑term marketing and leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention through community initiatives and responsive service.

Required profile

• Experience in multifamily property management or related real‑estate operations.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and other relevant regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and manage budgets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
