Clinical Team Coordinator

About the role

The Clinical Team Coordinator supports daily clinical operations, provides direct patient care, and assists the Nurse Manager in aligning with the organization’s clinical vision and operational priorities. This frontline leader coordinates patient care delivery, staffing, workflow management, and supervises clinical staff across all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical and operational resource 24/7, including on‑call, holiday, and weekend coverage, and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Supervise a team of nurses, assign work, ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote a safe, patient‑centered environment.
• Manage staffing schedules, adjust real‑time staffing, authorize overtime, and reconcile payroll.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure consistent interdisciplinary care plans and patient throughput.
• Monitor clinical performance, support staff development, and drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes and experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years of acute‑care RN experience.
• Ability to provide direct patient care, perform CPR, and lift/carry up to 25 lb.
• Experience supervising or leading nursing staff is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by organizational policy.
