Clinical Data Scientist Internship – Data & Analytics

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Clinical Data Scientist Intern to join its Data and Analytics organization for a 12‑week summer program. Interns will work on real‑world projects that support clinical research, applying data science techniques to solve complex problems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and test analytics solutions using cloud computing, machine learning, and process automation.
• Design and build dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau to visualize clinical data.
• Collaborate with Clinical Data Sciences professionals and senior management to present project findings.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Data Science, Analytics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field) with expected graduation Dec 2027 – May 2028.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or R programming.
• Experience implementing machine‑learning algorithms.
• Exposure to dashboard development with PowerBI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with AI tools (generative AI platforms, automation tools, AI‑assisted analytics).
