Civil Programs Project Manager

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Project Manager for its Civil Programs team, based in Columbus, MS (or Grand Prairie, TX). The role oversees aircraft completion, maintenance and repair activities, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, develop and supervise project schedules and budgets, and track performance indicators (SPI, CPI).
• Manage customer interactions, guide them through acquisition and completion processes, and ensure high satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain contracts, handle change orders, and support sales with technical advice.
• Prepare project timelines in MS Project, conduct critical path analysis, and adjust plans as requirements evolve.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management or equivalent with at least 3 years of project management experience in a production or technical environment.
• US Person status under ITAR, ability to travel 10‑20% domestically and internationally, and strong crisis‑management and planning skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, Access and G‑Suite.
• Experience with budgeting, contract management and risk assessment.
