About the role

We are seeking a Certified Bilingual Housing Counselor & Resource Navigator to join the Durango team of the Community Economic Defense Project (CEDP). The role supports low‑income and working‑class residents by providing one‑on‑one counseling, budgeting assistance, credit analysis, and navigation of housing resources.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individualized housing counseling, including budgeting, credit review, and home‑buyer education.
• Assist clients in eviction and foreclosure prevention, down‑payment loan applications, and transition from homelessness to stable housing.
• Navigate and connect clients to emergency assistance, long‑term rental aid, and other community resources.
• Maintain accurate case records using social‑service CRM/CMS platforms.
• Collaborate with housing lawyers, economists, and policy experts to ensure comprehensive support.

Required profile

• Certified Housing Counselor (HUD‑certified) with bilingual proficiency.
• Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for serving diverse populations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social‑service CRM/CMS software.
