About the role
The Friends of the Marion Public Library are seeking volunteers to help run the library Bookstore during operating hours. Volunteers will assist customers, handle sales, and support special events such as book sales and bake sales.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the register and credit card terminal for sales.
- Answer inquiries about the Friends of Marion Public Library and donation procedures.
- Receive and process book donations.
- Maintain the Bookstore layout and inventory during library hours.
- Assist with events like book sales, bake sales, and farmers markets.
Required profile
- Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
- Some customer service experience.
- Comfortable using a register (training provided).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
- Willingness to keep all information confidential.
