Bilingual Accountant / Billing Officer (Remote, New York)

As a Bilingual Accountant/Billing Accounting Officer you will provide expert tax guidance, prepare business and personal tax returns, and help shape the new TurboTax Live Business offering—all from a remote New York location.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax software.
• Deliver tax preparation and explanations for personal returns, handling a minimum of 30 returns per year.
• Provide high‑quality customer interactions via video and audio tools, translating technical tax terms into everyday language.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and support books‑to‑tax accounting entries.
• Document all customer interactions and meet company performance metrics.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted credential: Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or practicing attorney.
• 3+ years recent experience preparing business tax returns and 2+ seasons of personal tax preparation.
• Minimum of 20 hours/week commitment during tax season (shifts of at least 4 hours).
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and ability to obtain any required state licenses.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230 and strong customer‑service skills.
• Dedicated hard‑wired internet connection meeting security criteria and a quiet remote workspace.
