Automotive Teacher – Eastman YDC

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an enthusiastic Automotive Teacher for the Eastman Youth Development Center (YDC). You will develop and deliver lesson plans that cover automotive concepts, business principles, and technology skills to a diverse student population.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement research‑based lesson plans covering management, personal finance, accounting, computer programming, web design, and coding.
• Create schemes of work, tests, and instructional materials aligned with district standards.
• Use technology to support differentiated instruction and monitor student progress.
• Maintain classroom discipline, record student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare reports, attend meetings, and communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility to obtain a Georgia Clear and Renewable Teacher Certificate, or hold a provisional Georgia Educator’s Certificate.
