Instruction Paraprofessional 2

About the role

The Instruction Paraprofessional 2 supports classroom instruction and child development activities within the Georgia State Government education system. Working under general supervision, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and effective learning environment for students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the instructor/teacher in presenting subject matter and maintaining an effective learning environment.
• Prepare and distribute instructional materials, lesson supplies, bulletin board displays, and equipment.
• Plan, conduct, and supervise child development activities and classroom functions.
• Monitor and support students' individual physical needs and document their progress.
• Operate duplicating machines and other equipment to produce program materials.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment and maintain classroom cleanliness.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience working in an instructional or childcare setting, or equivalent experience at the Instruction Paraprofessional 1 level.
