Audiologist – Clinical Position in Baton Rouge

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a qualified Audiologist to join its clinic in Baton Rouge. The role involves delivering comprehensive diagnostic audiology services, counseling patients and families, and collaborating with physicians to determine optimal hearing healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic audiological evaluations, newborn hearing screenings, otoacoustic emissions, and auditory brainstem response testing.
• Assess candidacy for hearing aids and cochlear implants, fit and calibrate devices, and provide rehabilitation recommendations.
• Perform vestibular assessments, otoscopies, and create ear impressions.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, assist in training new staff, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Audiology or Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology) in the state of practice.
• Current state hearing aid license; preferred CCC‑A certification from ASHA.
• At least 1 year of experience in the audiology field (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Auditory Brainstem Response testing and vestibular assessments.
• Ability to perform otoscopies, ear impressions, and fit/calibrate hearing aids.
• Computer proficiency with clinical software and web‑based applications.
• Clinical skills consistent with a board‑certified audiologist.
