Associate Scientist, Flow Cytometry

About the role

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, California is seeking an Associate Scientist to perform routine laboratory testing and analytical procedures in a regulated environment. The shift runs Sunday to Thursday, 4 PM to 12:30 AM. The role ensures accurate documentation, data integrity and compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards while supporting laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document analytical procedures according to SOPs and regulatory guidelines
• Analyze routine laboratory data to confirm procedures stay within acceptable tolerances
• Identify, document and escalate deviations or atypical results to senior laboratory personnel
• Prepare samples, buffers and solutions needed for analytical testing
• Support quality investigations, deviations and corrective actions
• Maintain, calibrate and document laboratory equipment performance
• Assist with onboarding and guide entry-level staff on routine procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment
• Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and analytical methods
• Experience with laboratory automation or specialized equipment
• Other equivalent education, training and experience may be accepted instead of a degree

Required skills

• Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety procedures
• Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk frequently, and work closely with eyes

What we offer

• Base pay range of $41,400 to $86,100 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule
