Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Adjunct Instructor will teach theory and practical nursing courses on the Effingham Campus, preparing students for careers in healthcare and supervising clinical patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and develop curriculum for nursing courses.
• Instruct students, create syllabi, set goals and objectives, and deliver instruction individually or as part of a team.
• Assess student performance, complete reports, and respond to internal and external information requests.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia Board of Nursing standards and college policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum areas and stay current with industry trends through training and conferences.
• Communicate professionally with college staff, students, community partners, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with an active Georgia nursing license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Flexibility to teach day or evening classes and 12‑hour clinical rotations.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
