Associate Director, Study Manager – Atherosclerosis and Metabolism

About the role

This senior position leads the operational planning, feasibility, execution and conduct of one or more clinical trials focused on atherosclerosis and metabolism. You will act as the Clinical Trial Team lead, guiding cross‑functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve trial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct study planning, development and execution activities, including operational reviews, issue escalation, and governance meetings.
• Facilitate collaboration with study teams, country subsidiaries, vendors and committees to support trial goals.
• Provide clinical operations input on protocols and related documents.
• Coach and develop junior team members, managing performance and professional growth.
• May manage direct/indirect reports and allocate resources as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD/PharmD with 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical drug development, project management or related medical fields.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines and clinical research regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, develop realistic project plans and drive operational milestones.
• Demonstrated leadership in matrix environments, influencing peers and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) compliance.
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

• Salary range $142,400 – $224,100 per year.
