Assistant Recruiting Coach, Volleyball

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Recruiting Coach for its women’s volleyball program. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will help develop the team on and off the court while driving the recruiting strategy to attract top talent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with on‑court coaching, player development, and implementation of the team’s philosophy.
• Prepare scouting reports, conduct video and statistics analysis, and support game‑planning.
• Manage the annual recruiting calendar, coordinate official and unofficial visits, and maintain compliance with NCAA regulations.
• Create recruiting communications, including email and social‑media materials, in partnership with the Sports Information Department.
• Handle administrative duties such as equipment management, alumni relations, event coordination, and banquet support.
• Represent the university at athletic functions and ensure a professional, compliant environment.

Required profile

• Experience coaching or playing volleyball at the collegiate level.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules and compliance procedures.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with athletes, clubs, and staff.
• Willingness to travel for recruiting events, camps, and matches.
