Assistant Volleyball Coach

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Coach for its women’s volleyball program. Working closely with the Head Coach, you will help develop the team, support recruiting efforts, and contribute to daily operations both on and off the court.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in coaching assigned positions and athletes.
• Support the team’s philosophy through training, film review, and scouting.
• Help plan and implement court training sessions and match preparation.
• Prepare scouting reports and communicate relevant information to student‑athletes.
• Manage administrative duties, including supervising managers, practice players, and volunteers.
• Coordinate alumni relations, banquet functions, and marketing activities as needed.
• Assist with video analysis, statistics, and game‑planning tasks.
• Participate in camps, clinics, and recruiting activities.
• Represent the university at athletic events and ensure compliance with NCAA and conference regulations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in coaching volleyball at the collegiate level.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting processes and NCAA compliance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletes, and university personnel.
