ARD Facilitator – Flexible Independent Contractor

About the role

The ARD Facilitator works with Texas school districts to prepare and lead ARD committee meetings, ensuring compliance and effective support for students with special needs. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering flexibility and access to proprietary technology.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare for and facilitate ARD committee meetings, including staffing, documentation, and scheduling.
• Use district technology applications to manage the ARD process efficiently.
• Finalize and distribute ARD documentation (ARDs, FIEs) in a timely, compliant manner.
• Maintain confidential student records and campus folders according to district requirements.
• Facilitate communication between general and special education staff on IEP elements, goals, accommodations, and behavior intervention plans.
• Support compliance with state assessment requirements and encourage parent participation in ARD meetings.
• Consult with parents and school personnel regarding students' academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Compile reports and documentation as requested by district special education leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year institution.
• Valid Texas certification in Special Education and a content area.
• Experience in a special education classroom setting.
• BCBA preferred.
