Airport Security Officer - Overnight Shift (Full-Time)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Airport Security Officer for an overnight shift in Honolulu, Hawaii. The officer works as an unarmed patrol officer at a government airport location, conducting routine patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter security incidents and providing professional customer service to travelers, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees and airport partners by following site-specific procedures, policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, terminals, access points, parking areas and perimeters.
• Monitor for security concerns, hazards and irregular conditions and report them promptly.
• Assist with access control, directions and visitor inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and physical exam.
• Preferred: ability to lift more than 20 pounds, customer service experience and computer/tablet comfort.

Required skills

• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
