Aircraft Mechanic / A&P Technician for Piston Aircraft

About the role

ATP, the nation’s largest flight school, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic / A&P Technician to maintain its fleet of single‑engine and multi‑engine piston‑powered training aircraft at APA Airport. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday day shift only, with no overnight or weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on Cessna 172s, Piper Archers, and Piper Seminoles in compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer manuals.
• Accurately document all work in maintenance records, computer systems, and logbooks.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining piston‑powered aircraft.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and aircraft manufacturer manuals.
• Preferred but not required: FAA Inspection Authorization, private pilot’s license, and experience with Garmin integrated avionics.

Required skills

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• FAA Inspection Authorization (preferred).
• Avionics troubleshooting, specifically Garmin systems.
• Understanding of FAA regulations and aircraft manuals.
