Aircraft Maintenance Technician, A&P Mechanic

About the role

ATP, the nation’s largest flight school, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician/A&P Mechanic to work at LGB Airport on its fleet of single‑engine and multi‑engine piston‑powered training aircraft. The position is Monday‑Friday day shift only, with no overnight or weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on Cessna 172s, Piper Archers, Piper Seminoles and other piston‑powered aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer manuals.
• Accurately document all work in maintenance logs, computer entries, and required forms.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and follow all company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining piston‑powered aircraft.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and aircraft manufacturer manuals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in piston‑engine aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot Garmin integrated avionics systems.
• Possession of tools required for aircraft maintenance tasks.
