Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor

About the role

Savannah Technical College seeks an Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor to deliver theory and hands‑on instruction for practical nursing courses. The role involves preparing lesson plans, teaching classroom and clinical sessions, and supervising students during patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and develop curriculum for nursing occupational courses.
• Instruct students, create program syllabi, set goals and objectives, and deliver instruction individually and as part of a team.
• Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospitals, long‑term care, or other medical facilities.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia Board of Nursing standards and college policies.
• Complete reports, respond to internal and external inquiries, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with an active Georgia nursing license in good standing.
• Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years of recent RN experience.
• Flexibility to teach day or evening classes and 12‑hour clinical rotations.
• Current CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and basic computer proficiency.
