About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach mathematics courses on‑campus and online. This part‑time position supports both day and evening classes and contributes to the development of dual‑enrollment programs.
Key responsibilities
- Teach on‑campus and online mathematics classes, including evening and dual‑enrollment sections.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for classroom and virtual instruction.
- Develop curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives for assigned courses.
- Evaluate student progress and assess learning outcomes.
- Participate in professional development, departmental, college, and state faculty meetings.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Earned master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field with at least 18 semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) of graduate‑level mathematics coursework from a regionally accredited institution.
- Doctorate in mathematics or a doctorate with the required graduate coursework is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pedagogical practices and postsecondary vocational/technical education objectives.
