About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach English and literature courses on a part‑time basis. This position involves delivering day, evening, and online classes to post‑secondary students.
Key responsibilities
- Teach English and literature courses in various formats (in‑person, evening, online).
- Prepare lesson plans, develop curricula, syllabi, and learning objectives.
- Assess student progress and maintain required documentation and reports.
- Participate in professional development and training activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in English, literature, composition & rhetoric, or professional writing (or equivalent graduate coursework).
- Doctorate degree or equivalent graduate coursework is preferred.
- Prior teaching or training experience at the post‑secondary level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications.

- Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS)
- Microsoft Office suite
What we offer
- Part‑time schedule not exceeding 29 hours per week.
