Account Executive - SLED, Wisconsin and Iowa
Action1
Job description
About the role
Action1, an autonomous patch management platform used by many Fortune 500 companies, is hiring a quota-carrying, full-cycle hunter Account Executive to drive new business across state, local and education accounts in Wisconsin and Iowa. The role relies on existing knowledge and relationships in the SLED market to generate demand and engage IT and security leaders. It is remote-first and requires someone who understands how the public sector buys cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Own a defined U.S. SLED territory and meet or exceed quota through territory development, pipeline generation and deal execution.
- Identify target accounts, prospect directly and build relationships with public-sector IT and security leaders.
- Build pipeline through outbound activity, referrals, partners, events and strategic account planning.
- Lead opportunities from prospecting through discovery, technical validation, procurement, negotiation and contract execution.
- Sell to IT Directors, CISOs, CIOs, Infrastructure Directors, security teams and procurement stakeholders.
- Manage multi-stakeholder cycles, RFPs, security reviews, cooperative purchasing, contract vehicles and reseller-led motions.
- Develop relationships with reseller representatives and partners, and run account expansion (upsell/cross-sell) with existing customers.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and activity in Salesforce, share market intelligence and work independently in a remote-first setting.
Required profile
- Quota-carrying experience selling cybersecurity software into state, local and education accounts in Wisconsin and Iowa.
- Established relationships and market knowledge in a defined SLED territory, including resellers, partners and procurement channels.
- Proven hunter experience generating new pipeline through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, referrals and partnerships.
- Experience managing full-cycle, multi-stakeholder SLED sales and closing complex deals with an average deal value of at least $30,000.
- Strong understanding of public-sector procurement, RFPs, cooperative purchasing, contract vehicles and government budget cycles.
- Experience selling cybersecurity, endpoint management, patch management, vulnerability management, EDR, MDR, IAM, IT operations or related solutions.
- Excellent discovery, consultative selling, negotiation, account planning and forecasting skills; available to start as soon as possible.
What we offer
- A collaborative environment where you own your domain and follow best practices.
- Stable income, benefits and flexible working hours.
- Opportunities for promotion and friendly, professional peers.
