Talent Acquisition Sourcer

About the role

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection is seeking a Talent Acquisition Sourcer to strengthen its recruitment pipeline. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Human Capital, you will partner with hiring managers to identify, engage, and cultivate talent for hard‑to‑fill and high‑priority positions across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines for current and future vacancies using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
• Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements and create targeted sourcing strategies.
• Perform market research, talent mapping, and passive candidate outreach.
• Represent the agency at career fairs and public recruitment events to raise awareness of employment opportunities.
• Track sourcing metrics and continuously improve sourcing processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in talent sourcing or recruitment, preferably in a public‑sector or large‑organization environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations is a plus.
