Specialist Manager, Risk and Compliance Services

About the role

Deloitte’s GPS Security team is seeking a Specialist Manager to lead classified security programs within the Government & Public Services practice. The role provides governance, oversight, and strategic guidance for classified operations and secure infrastructure in highly regulated national‑security environments.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership on security compliance, classified operations, and risk management.
• Develop and implement security strategies aligned with GPS objectives and national‑security mandates.
• Oversee governance of classified programs, ensuring consistent application of policies, standards, and controls.
• Manage accreditation of secure facilities, personnel security, training, and IT systems supporting classified work.
• Lead inspections, audits, remediation activities, and design scalable security solutions.
• Mentor and develop security team members, set performance expectations, and contribute to talent planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience leading classified security programs in federal or national‑security environments.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to operate independently, manage enterprise risk, and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Must be able to work fully onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD and be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of classified operations, NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives and related government policies.
• Experience with accreditation of secure facilities and personnel security processes.
• Proven track record building and sustaining high‑performing security teams.
