Senior Software Engineer, Internal Deployed

About the role

Retell AI is building AI‑powered voice agents for modern contact centers. The Internal Deployed team works directly with the founders to create AI systems and automations that streamline recruiting, sales, finance, operations, and customer support across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy production‑grade AI workflows, internal tools, and agent systems to improve company‑wide efficiency.
• Build HR and recruiting AI systems, including resume parsing, lead scoring, and automated candidate outreach.
• Automate security and compliance processes such as contract review, questionnaire generation, and audit tooling.
• Create operational infrastructure tools for finance automation, accounts receivable, and enterprise onboarding.
• Integrate with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel) and build workflow automations using Zapier, n8n, Make.
• Develop LLM‑powered solutions using OpenAI, Gemini, Claude and own API‑based integrations across internal systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of software development experience (or exceptional new graduates with strong engineering projects).
• Strong fundamentals in backend, full‑stack, or systems engineering.
• Ability to think like a founder, take ownership, and thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• Experience with LLMs or modern AI tooling (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude).
• Proficiency in building API integrations and automation platforms (Zapier, n8n, Make).
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel.
• Software development skills in languages commonly used for backend/full‑stack work (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
