Senior Manager of People Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager of People Operations leads the execution and continuous improvement of HR service delivery at AvidXchange. This execution‑focused leadership role translates HR strategy into operational reality through disciplined project management, rigorous process design, and scalable technology.

Key responsibilities

• Assess HR workflows to identify friction and redundancy, and maintain a prioritized improvement roadmap with clear SLAs, cycle times, and error‑rate targets.
• Execute and continuously improve the tiered HR service model—including self‑service, shared services, and HRBP—along with the HR knowledge base and case‑management workflows.
• Identify, pilot, and scale AI and automation tools across HR operations, tracking measurable outcomes and iterating based on results.
• Directly manage HRIS team members, set priorities, develop technical capabilities, and own the process‑improvement roadmap in coordination with the broader HRIS roadmap.
• Partner cross‑functionally with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to align HR systems and workflows with organizational needs.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in an operations, COE, or HRIS‑focused role.
• Proven success leading process‑improvement or HR transformation projects.
• 3+ years of people‑leadership experience, including managing technical or systems‑oriented teams.
• Experience supporting or building organizational planning cycles and performance reporting.
