Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Retell AI is building a modern CX platform powered by voice AI. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer you will deliver voice AI solutions to enterprise clients, working closely with their teams to create production‑ready systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of projects on the voice agent platform, from prototype to production, communicating progress and risks.
• Become the go‑to expert for building voice AI solutions, especially LLM prompting techniques.
• Build full‑stack integrations (Python, JavaScript) with enterprise tools such as CRMs, ERPs, and scheduling systems.
• Partner with sales to gather requirements, prototype demos, and present system designs.
• Scope projects, resolve blockers, and keep teams aligned with concise updates.
• Codify reusable patterns into tools or platform components and translate field feedback into product recommendations.

Required profile

• 2+ years in customer‑facing technical roles (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Technical PM, Customer Success).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience delivering systems in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
• Proactive risk management and ability to maintain momentum under pressure.
