Senior Associate – Quality Assurance (Food Safety)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, meticulous and technically strong Senior Associate to join Pret’s US Quality Assurance & Food Safety team at our New York City Support Center. Reporting to the Senior QA Manager, you will be the key individual contributor responsible for day‑to‑day execution of food safety and quality programs, ensuring the safety and integrity of the food served to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain Pret’s US food safety framework, including reviewing HACCP documentation, SOPs and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate supplier, ingredient and product records and manage documentation updates.
• Monitor FDA and FSMA regulatory changes, flagging impacts and assisting with implementation.
• Drive the QA product approval process for new menu items and reformulations, coordinating with Culinary, Marketing and Supply Chain.
• Maintain the US product specification library and process change requests for menu items.

• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Resilient, flexible and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and meet tight product launch deadlines.

Required skills

• HACCP documentation and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of FDA and FSMA food safety regulations.
• Food safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Allergen and nutritional data management.
• Product specification and documentation control.
