General Manager

About the role

Pret A Manger is rebuilding its U.S. presence and seeks a dynamic General Manager to lead a shop. You will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations, driving sales, profitability, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for shop-level P&L, including sales growth, labor productivity, food cost, and waste control.
• Analyze performance trends, close gaps quickly, and deliver against targets.
• Recruit, hire, and develop Assistant General Managers, Managers in Training, and hourly staff.
• Build a culture of accountability, warmth, and high performance through structured performance conversations and talent reviews.
• Model Pret’s hospitality standards, ensure fast, personal guest experiences, and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Maintain strict adherence to recipes, food preparation standards, and product specifications to ensure high‑quality, fresh food throughout the day.
