About the role
We are looking for a Seasonal Rooftop Server to join Arlo NoMad in New York from early April through mid‑September. In this role you will deliver attentive food‑and‑beverage service on our rooftop venue, acting as the primary link between guests, the front‑of‑house team and the kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests courteously, use guest names, and maintain eye contact.
- Take food and beverage orders, make recommendations, and accurately input them into the POS system.
- Serve drinks promptly from the service bar, open wine and champagne bottles using proper techniques, and deliver orders to tables.
- Anticipate guest needs, address concerns, and report issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the service area, including bread stocking and linen management.
- Complete opening duties, adhere to health‑and‑safety guidelines, and report any accidents or incidents.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a fast‑paced restaurant or hotel service environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to honesty, integrity, and personal hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work the full rooftop season (April 6 – September 15).
Required skills
- Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of proper wine and champagne service techniques.
