Safety Specialist

About the role

The Shift Safety Specialist is the on‑shift safety leader for a 24/7 manufacturing plant, providing real‑time guidance, incident management and compliance support across the TP campus.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate and live the "Safety Always" culture, driving safety excellence.
• Analyze workplace hazards, support LOTO, machine guarding, PPE and hazard identification.
• Lead audit activities, remediate findings and implement continuous‑improvement strategies.
• Drive reduction of accident and incident rates and develop proactive safety programs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance leadership and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, occupational safety, safety management or related field, or 1+ years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to move throughout the plant, work at a stationary desk for 50% of the time, and lift up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA machine‑guarding standards and related federal, state and local regulations.
• Understanding of LOTO procedures, hazard analysis and incident reporting.
• Strong critical‑thinking, complex‑problem‑solving and active‑listening abilities.
