RN PreOp/PostOp – 5:30am to 2:30pm

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care on a 5:30 am – 2:30 pm shift. The RN will deliver safe, patient‑centered care, supervise staff, and contribute to quality outcomes within Norton Healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for pre‑op and post‑op patients.
• Provide patient and family education, comfort, and satisfaction.
• Supervise licensed and non‑licensed staff members.
• Promote evidence‑based practice and participate in practice governance.
• Assist in maintaining a financially stable unit.

Required profile

• Valid Kentucky RN license (or appropriate state license).
• Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing.
• No prior experience required for full‑time/part‑time; PRN positions require one year of RN/LPN experience in an inpatient acute‑care setting.

Required skills

• Patient assessment and care planning.
