Housekeeping PRN Nights

About the role

Join Palestine Regional Medical Center as a PRN Night Housekeeper. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the 150‑bed hospital during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, public areas, and clinical spaces.
• Prepare and apply germicidal cleaning solutions following safety guidelines.
• Handle hazardous, soiled linen, and regulated medical waste in compliance with protocols.
• Restock supplies, organize supply closets, and assist with furniture moves and special projects.
• Operate mechanical cleaning equipment safely and report any malfunctions.
• Collect, transport, and dispose of waste according to regulatory standards.
• Report unsafe conditions and follow all chemical, equipment, and bio‑hazard safety procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare environmental services or custodial work (preferred).
• Basic understanding of infection prevention practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physically capable of extended standing, lifting, and repetitive motions.

Required skills

• Operation of mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Handling of hazardous and regulated medical waste.
• Use of germicidal cleaning solutions.
