Echocardiogram Technician – Cardiology Non‑Invasive

About the role

The Echocardiogram Technician provides high‑quality non‑invasive cardiac imaging, performing routine and stress echocardiograms and supporting physicians with transesophageal studies. The role operates independently while aligning with the mission and values of Christus Healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine transthoracic echocardiograms to assess heart structure and function.
• Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Conduct stress echocardiograms for coronary artery disease evaluation.
• Notify physicians of exam results daily and manage supply inventory weekly.
• Adapt imaging techniques to meet age‑specific and developmental patient needs.
• Uphold Christus Healthcare core values and OneCHRISTUS competency standards.
• Obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within one year of hire (preferred, not required).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program (preferred).
• Two years of cardiology ultrasound experience (preferred).
• Experience with stress testing (preferred).
• BLS certification required; DCS, RCS, RDMS certifications preferred.
