About the role

Join Norton Healthcare as a Registered Nurse providing pre‑operative and post‑operative care on a shift from 5:30 am to 6 pm. You will deliver safe, patient‑ and family‑centered care in an acute‑care setting while supporting a financially stable unit.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care using the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care.
• Provide education, comfort, and satisfaction to patients and families throughout the surgical experience.
• Supervise and mentor licensed and non‑licensed staff members, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Maintain high quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and adherence to evidence‑based practice.
• Contribute to unit financial stability and participate in practice governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kentucky.
• Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing.
• No experience required for full‑time or part‑time positions; PRN roles require at least one year of RN/LPN experience in an inpatient acute‑care setting.
• Commitment to professional development and evidence‑based practice.
