Reserve Engineer (On-site) – Memphis

About the role

The Reserve Engineer (RE) is the on‑site technical specialist who services Cobalt AI’s security robots at client locations. You will receive paid training to become an expert on the hardware and provide rapid‑response support.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and master robot hardware to perform servicing and maintenance.
• Communicate field repairs and project updates with technical and non‑technical teammates.
• Address and resolve hardware failures safely and promptly.
• Assist with field operation projects and new robot deployments.
• Travel to client sites 1‑3 times a month (or more) to fix hardware issues.
• Report to a Regional Project Manager for tasking and delegation.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about robotics, AI, and machine learning.
• Familiar with hardware assembly/disassembly and basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and small electrical components.
• Excellent communicator comfortable using Slack, Google Meet, etc.
• Available Mon‑Fri 9 am‑5 pm with flexibility for on‑call after‑hours and weekends.
• Presentable and able to interact with Fortune 100‑500 clients.
• Passionate about delivering great customer service.
