Research Engineer

About the role

The Research Engineer enables Rwazi’s applied decision research by building the technical infrastructure required to explore, validate, and evolve next‑generation decision systems. This role focuses on rapid experimentation, prototyping, and system validation in a flexible remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build research prototypes, sandbox environments, and modular, testable research architectures.
• Create evaluation frameworks, simulation environments, and benchmarking systems for decision performance.
• Implement A/B logic, structured experiment tracking, and ensure reproducibility of experimental results.
• Collaborate with Decision Research Scientists to encode models and provide technical validation of research concepts.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building experimental or prototype systems.
• Comfort working in ambiguous research environments and balancing speed with technical rigor.
• Familiarity with AI pipelines or decision architectures.

Required skills

• Prototype development and experimental pipeline construction.
• Evaluation tooling and infrastructure creation for AI/decision systems.
