Regional Safety Specialist

About the role

ACCIONA Energía seeks a Regional Safety Specialist to support safety, training, and quality initiatives across its renewable energy sites in Texas. The role ensures industry‑leading safety standards, mentors site teams, and implements corporate safety programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct frequent safety observations, on‑site mentoring and OJT standardisation.
• Lead emergency response drills and hands‑on safety training.
• Promote consistent safety documentation, PPE usage and operational procedures across all sites.
• Perform safety audits, support incident investigations and develop lessons learned.
• Collaborate with site managers to implement corrective actions and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field, or 2+ years safety management experience.
• Current OSHA 500 certification and ability to obtain wind‑tower climb training.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA, ISO and ANSI safety regulations.
• Experience with LMS platforms, Maximo or similar audit tools.
• Competence in conducting safety audits and incident investigations.
• Ability to coach teams and implement safety improvements.

What we offer

• Base salary $75,000 – $105,000 per year plus 10% performance bonus.
