Regional Industrial Hygienist – Central US

About the role

The Regional Industrial Hygienist will lead industrial hygiene initiatives across 3M’s central U.S. sites, primarily in Springfield, MO and Knoxville, IA, while being based at the Maplewood, MN campus. You will work closely with the global 3M industrial hygiene community, occupational medical teams, and facility EHS contacts to protect employee health and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and coordinate industrial hygiene programs across the central U.S. region.
• Conduct comprehensive exposure assessments and implement control strategies.
• Provide technical support for capital projects and facility modifications.
• Drive noise‑exposure reduction initiatives and eliminate hearing‑conservation programs where possible.
• Collaborate with occupational medical, EHS, and engineering teams to resolve potential hazards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene (verified before start).
• Minimum five years of industrial hygiene experience in manufacturing, R&D, or corporate settings.
• Ability to travel up to 35% domestically.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
