Physical Security Subject Matter Expert

About the role

Compass-datacenters is seeking a Physical Security Subject Matter Expert to act as the technical authority on physical security across its data center campuses. You will assess risks, manage security systems, and collaborate with Operations and support teams to ensure robust protection for people, customers, and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all physical security aspects, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercoms.
• Track, investigate, and steward all physical security incidents in assigned regions.
• Coordinate security notifications across the business and support new site deployments.
• Partner with project managers to contribute to security‑related projects and QA of implementations.

Required profile

• Six or more years of experience in the security sector.
• Professional certification such as ASP, PSP, or CPP preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with senior managers, vendors, and third parties.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of CCTV and access control systems; Genetec software experience preferred.
• Ability to create and interpret technical documents and reports.
• Proficiency in data analysis and presenting quantitative recommendations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
