PHP Backend Developer (AI-Assisted Development)

About the role

Our client is seeking a PHP Backend Developer to join a fully remote engineering team. The role focuses on building and maintaining AI‑enhanced multi‑step lead‑capture flows that feed consumer data into third‑party services and analytics platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain multi‑step lead‑capture forms and associated web experiences.
• Implement backend functionality using PHP and MySQL, including schema design, query optimization and safe data updates.
• Integrate, test and troubleshoot third‑party REST APIs.
• Create logging, reporting and analytics solutions to monitor conversion performance.
• Iterate on existing flows to improve conversion rates and overall revenue.
• Write clean, reusable, production‑ready code and refactor legacy components where needed.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the engineering team and communicate progress clearly.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional PHP development experience in a team environment.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf).
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
