TypeSafe is building the next generation of reliable, production‑ready AI models. We are looking for a versatile Member of Staff who can thrive in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment and help translate our transformative AI mission into real‑world impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define strategic goals for your domain and drive initiatives from concept to execution.
• Apply first‑principles reasoning and lived experience to solve complex problems.
• Stay current with AI industry trends, especially the capabilities and limits of large language models.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure the mission’s impact is measurable and sustainable.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in high‑performing teams, often in shifting or ambiguous contexts.
• Demonstrated expertise (spiky) in at least one domain while being well‑rounded in essential complementary skills.
• Self‑awareness to distinguish personal strengths from gaps and a strong commitment to the company’s mission.
• Ability to work fully onsite in our San Francisco office and contribute to a close‑knit, flat team culture.

Required skills

• Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications.

• Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $250,000 per year, plus equity.
