Manager, IT Supplier Governance

About the role

This senior management position oversees a portfolio of IT suppliers, ensuring governance execution, performance visibility, risk monitoring, and issue resolution. The role partners with contract owners, delivery teams, procurement, legal, finance, and security to drive supplier performance through disciplined routines and clear accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned supplier portfolio, including governance meetings, scorecards, issue logs, action follow‑up, stakeholder communications, and escalation tracking.
• Execute supplier governance routines such as performance reviews, service‑level monitoring, risk reviews, renewal readiness, and transition support.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to clarify accountabilities, resolve issues, and ensure contract obligations are met.
• Use supplier data, dashboards, spend, risk information, and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, gaps, and corrective actions.
• Coach team members or matrixed contributors, establish priorities, and ensure consistent execution of governance responsibilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT supplier management, vendor management, procurement, contract management, or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier governance routines, performance reviews, escalations, and cross‑functional coordination.
• Strong understanding of supplier governance, performance management, service levels, contracts, renewals, third‑party risk, and compliance.

Required skills

• Ability to analyze supplier performance, financial, operational, and risk data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, negotiation support, and influencing skills in a matrixed global organization.
