About the role
Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Medical Scribe, supporting physicians and clinical staff by accurately documenting patient encounters and assisting with clerical tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Document patient medical history, physical exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare office notes/templates for upcoming appointments.
- Submit electronic prescriptions and make patient calls as directed.
- Transcribe patient orders, laboratory and radiology tests, medications, and consultations.
- Perform assigned clerical duties.
Required profile
- High School Diploma/GED with health sciences coursework (e.g., Anatomy, Physiology, Biology).
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to obtain CMSS certification in Pennsylvania within 30 days.
- Physical ability to lift 25 lb, sit/stand frequently, and perform patient‑care activities such as kneeling, bending, and CPR.
