Material Controller I

About the role

The Material Controller I supports successful project execution by coordinating material planning, tracking and control activities. Working under guidance, the role ensures the right materials are available at the right time to support project delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, material lists and technical documentation to accurately determine project material requirements.
• Analyze project requirements and develop material demand forecasts aligned with schedules and operational priorities.
• Maintain and update material control systems to support tracking, reporting and inventory visibility throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare and maintain material documentation, including specifications, supplier information and codes required for procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels, evaluate stock availability and optimize material usage to minimize excess.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, logistics and project teams to align material requirements with scope and schedule.
• Support material receiving, tracking, allocation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
• Identify material shortages or supply risks and communicate impacts to stakeholders promptly.
• Assist in maintaining project material status reports and provide updates for decision‑making.
